NDMP consistent PIT restore based on differential backup

Dear dW, we would like to have the chance to make a consistent restore based on a differential NDMP backup. In the current implementation restoring an NDMP differential results in having the deleted files restored as well.
For example if I have the following:

T=0 /dir/file_a /dir/file_b Full NDMP Backup
T=0.5 /dir/file_a' -
T=1 /dir/file_a' Differentail NDMP Backup

If I then ask for a restore of the image at T=1 then I have restored the following:

/dir/file_a' AND /dir/file_b

Which is not what I would like to have.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
    Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
    Product - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Family

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request, we do understand the requirement and the rationale behind it but unfortunately NDMP backup and restore functionality is also controlled by the filer that you're using, TSM will use the NDMP protocol to pull data from the device upon backup and stream that data back to the device upon restore request but the internal mechanisms are controlled by the device (in a LAN free/Direct to tape scenario TSM will issue the appropriate commands and the device will perform the data movement to the assigned storage pool)
    we currently do not plan to implement this function, if you're using a Netapp device i would highly recommend looking at the Snapshot Differencing API (SnapDiff) as an alternative.
