Install ICS through Customer-Code-Load

This is an enhancement request of Customer-Code-Load of DS8000 R9.3 and later.

My understanding is that currently there is no way to choose an ICS through Customer-Code-Load GUI.

(If there is a higher level of bundle, some ICSs are selected automatically with the bundle. This is the only way to apply ICS free of charge, but type of ICS is not selectable)

One of example to open this IDEAS is CallhomeICS.

IBM published the information below.

It is saying "All DS8900F and DS8880 systems require the eccUpdater_v1.1 ICS to be installed on both HMCs" .

However, if customer choose ExpertCare-Advanced, both RCL and Onside-CodeLoad costs money. Only Customer-Code-Load is free.

Therefore, even though the CallHome servers changed by IBM reason, but customer needs to pay money to apply the ICS (if they don't want to upgrade DS8000 bundle).

We may encounter similar situation in the future. (i.e., DS8000 code bug fixed by only ICS. ExpertCare-Premium is free to apply it through RCL, but it costs money for Advanced users)

Please consider installing ICS through Customer GUI.
