This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Mirrored volumes between two DS8K support and keep the mirror intact when using Flashcopy.
We have functions in example DSS like:
FCNOCOPY FASTREPLICATION(REQUIRED )
FCTOPPRCPRIMARY(PRESMIRREQ )
SW functions in DB2 have made utilities that uses the mentioned functionality.
But!
None of it works when using GDPS/PPRC Metro mirror dual leg(Mirroring in two directions from primary)

As you can see in case TS008420630 this also conflicts with the DB2 utilities which invokes ADRDSSU with the COPY parameter FCTOPPRCPRIMARY(PRESMIRREQ ). It would be much easier and without challenges for us users if the subsystems just supported the functionality by default.
Any updates regarding progress for this RFE?
Important to preserve mirror on both legs certainly. This is a vote in favor of the suggestion.
