Volume unmapping with independency

This event occur on VMWARE environment and not on z/OS!
On microcode Release 87.51.103.0 when a set of volumes has more than one host and an unmap process is done via GUI all volumes are unmapped as well for others different hosts. This process is dangers since can pull down all services in a production environment. When the unmap process is done on CLI others hosts can continue access the same volume without interference.
My customer is asking to have the same condition from CLI on GUI.
