Enhance physical Volume Pooling for virtual Volume Pools

as an additional Point for the Idea: https://ideas.ibm.com/ideas/TS77-I-209 it would be useful if we can decide which virtual volume Pool (Application Data) is written to which physical Volume. So we can get a chain from the z/OS Applciation Data ...

PB- Replication: In certain instances the QA databases are refreshed daily from the Global Mirror targets. With the current process on the SVC you can specify the replication direction for example “svctask startrcconsistgrp -force -primary master 5”. On the new policy based replication it is very easy for someone to accidentally restart the replication in the wrong direction using the command line on the wrong storage device(DR), e.g.if they should issue “chvolumegroupreplication -mode production 5” on the wrong storage device(DR). This will restart replication backwards and overwrite production with old data. The GUI is verifying that via a message, before allowing.

Anyone doing such tasks, can do easily fatal overwrites in the wrong direction when using the CLI. Especially in an Disaster Recovery Situation.A message like you are intending to replicate / sync from X to Y. Are you sure?
