TSM repository server is not supported as catalog backup target for SPP+ (enable catalog backup to repository server)

Using the SPP+ gui you can select a TSM repository server as a target for catalog backup for SPP+. I have opened a call with IBM support (TS013178083) because at 10.1.14-217 release at least of SPP+ no matter how you configure the TSM S3 repositor...

Flashcopy Manager Snapshot Support for Spectrum Virtualize in a Hyperswap Relationship

Currently FCM snapshot support is only established for Spectrum Virtualize within SVC in a stretched cluster setup. We need support for snapshots for the whole Flashsystem/SVC family within a Hyperswap relation, adressing IBM AIX, VMware, Linux an...

RFE: Allow file system ?-n? attribute to be changed

When a Spectrum Scale file system is created, several parameters must be specified that can not be changed after the fact. One of these is the “-n” parameter giving an estimate of the number of systems that will be mounting a file system, directly...

TSM is not supproted on p7 except in p6 compatibility mode

TSM on p7 hardware requires that you run the LPAR in p6 compatibility mode. This is a Java/DB2 limitation during the install or upgrade. This limitation should be fixed as it nullifies the reason for migrating to better/faster hardware. http://www...

Ability to set a management/service IP address with no default gateway

The customer I work for has his SVC cluster in an isolated network with no routing and thus no default gateway. When I try to configure the IP addressing, if I leave the "default gateway" field empty, the save button won't be available, forcing us...

Spectrum Copy Data Management should be able individually rename target filesystems

SCDM can add a prefix, suffix, or replace a string when changing target filesystem names. It would be useful to have a one to one mapping of the source and targets to be renamed as an additional option.

Spectrum Copy Data Management should not require Oracle "recover until snapshot" command when hot backup is not used

During Oracle recoveries SCDM, if hot backup is not used to create the backup, will use the Oracle "recover until snapshot" command which invokes the Oracle Advanced Compression Snapshot Optimization license. This is expensive. Alternatively, ther...

Spectrum Data Copy Management should be able to disable archive log mode on the target

SCDM should be able to bring up a target database and take it out of archive log mode. Most users do not run test copies of their databases in archive log mode.

Spectrum Copy Data Management should update /etc/fstab

SCDM should automatically update /etc/fstab on linux targets when it mounts replicated filesystems and also remove them when unmounting them. Then filesystems will automatically be mounted if the target system reboots.
