Spectrum Copy Data Management should not require Oracle "recover until snapshot" command when hot backup is not used

During Oracle recoveries SCDM, if hot backup is not used to create the backup, will use the Oracle "recover until snapshot" command which invokes the Oracle Advanced Compression Snapshot Optimization license. This is expensive. Alternatively, there could be an option where SCDM just uses "recover database", without the snapshot clause, which would use the latest snapshot by default and, I believe, not invoke the license.

This is not a valid requirement.
Oracle restore will only use "recover until snapshot" if Point-in-time restore is invoked. You do not need to put the database in hot backup mode for normal recovery which will not invoke the Oracle Advanced Compression Snapshot Optimization license.
