    OSSM master encyption key needs to be protected from loss

    If the OSSM master encyption key is lost, the protected data stored on the IBM Storage Protect server cannot be recovered for the IBM Storage Protect Plus client. The product needs a better resiliency mecanism to avoid the loss of that key.

    Spectrum Protect has several time out values to detect „sick, but not dead“ situations and for a good reason actively terminates sessions when specified time out value has been reached.
