TS7700 - Customer request 3rd or 4th level power redundancy within the frame - critical outage occurred because building power maintenance left the TS7700 running on one PDU and that one failed. Without addtional redundancy, the box came down.

BVIR maintenance integrated in zOS

BVIR delivers very good Reports, but is maintained outside of zOS. The Tapetools have to be downloaded, unpacked, installed, the already used JCL has to be checked for changes. The TS7700 is maintained with PTFs instead, as it is usual in zOS.
