This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

It is possible to export the library logs from the starting page of the management interface. This contains also the file "InventoryUpdate.csv" which contains all changes to the inventory of the tapelibrary.
This log is very useful when there are problems with the inventory. We had several inventory issues during establishing a safeguarded backup routine and had to wait up to several days for informations and a solution. For example we were not able to see the history of cartridges in the tapelibrary and couldn't find out the cause for problems.
The last problem could be solved ourselves with help of the InventoryUpdate.csv. But some informations provided in the file are still not clear. A documentation of that file and its contents for customers would be a great help.
