This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Sorry for this long delay.I see your point and will make sure that this is included in the design for this function. However I'd like to consolidate this RFE into the existing RFE (https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=97912) and will copy your comment to the other RFE.
If I am understanding you correctly, we would have the option to "backout" a threshold alert. Example: Alert on READ Response Time greater than 30ms. and I would be able to say, between 5:00 PM and midnight, do NOT generate an alert. That is a good idea, but not as flexible as being able to CHANGE the threshold from 30ms to say 60ms. And oh, I only want that set for Monday - Friday. I want something totally different on the weekend.
This idea is closely related to another idea, which is asking for "backout" windows, where an alert does not get triggered. Please let us know if such a "blackout" windows for alerts would be helping you, as it sounds like exactly the opposite of what you are asking for.
