This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

JPMC is interested in this ability for DS8K as highest priority.
Thanks for the update. We are looking to find the best way to implement this. One way could be to create a new "performance" metric that could be collected at a minute interval. In that case it's good to understand for which devices this is required.
DS8880 and DS8950
I am using fixed block storage devices for mainframe (CKD Devices). They have not been automatically picking up capacity changes in Spectrum Control outside of the 24 hour probing cycle.
Please let me know if you need more information or if this did not answer the question.
Hello, can you let us know which devices your are using? The reason for this question is, that there are functions build into the communication, which allows devices to send an event if the capacity usage is changing, so you should not need to do probes more frequently
