Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

Improve CSMCLI scripting by enabling an echo and echoprefix

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

In DSCLI, you can define echo on/off and you can set an echoprefix.

In CSMCLI, this is still not available.

When running CSMCLI in script mode, you see in the output dataset only the command response, but not command itself and you see only the IP-address of the CSM Server, and not the nickname of the CSM Server. Running a CSMCLI script with several CSMCLI commands or against several CSM Servers, you create a confusing output dataset.

Hopefully, this can be solved with an echo function and an echoprefix.
