This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

We have two DS8000 Controllers in a full MM - Hyperswap Configuration.
We have two CSM Sessions running on two different LPARS in our SYSPLEX.
( LPAR1 (Primary ) and LPAR2 (Standby) )
We observe that after IPL of the LPAR2 ( Configured as the Standby Server ) they CSM Standby Server will not automatically Synchronise with the Primary & Active Server.
Is it Possible have the Standby Server to Automatically Synchronise with the ACTIVE Primary CSM server ( defined in the Connections ).

So manual resync is necessary so that the customer can ensure us that a resync should be possible and that the cause of the disconnect is not due to an actual disaster.
There are other RFEs around creating an active active type configuration for the CSM servers. I would suggest voting for that RFE if you have not already as I hope to have a way to handle this request better when we get to that type of design.
