TSM for VE admin needs all funcionality in his workspace, the TDP for VE GUI , therefore visibility of scheduled backups required even though actually not executed by TDP for VE;

Grid View of backup success rate

The current VM backup success report takes minutes to run for a 1 day report and much longer (I gave up waiting) for a 7 day report. If the Protected and Unprotected VMs report is anything to go by it could take over 2 hours to produce this report...

TSM4VE - Hyper-V: Do not leave open snapshots after IFFULL or IFINCR backups

System: Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments / Hyper-V component. Description: By leaving open snapshots and actually writing on that snapshot and not parent disk, additional space is acquired that customer's storage has not been designed for.

TSM-VE: Improve the datamover backup tasks distribution, and improve the load balancing options available to the datamover

We have seen in many large TSM-VE implementation that the multithread options from TSM-VE 6.4 is a good feature, but has its limit relatively quickly.I think we should have a way to identify and display the load pushed on ESXi hosts & clusters...

Server migration processing (from disk to tapes) should be able to use more than 1 process in order to use multiple tape drives in parallel emptying the disk pool despite data in the primary disk pool is from 1 node only.

Write-lock files during restore operations

We regularly have to do partial restores on active systems, and/or on shares where the users still have access and can be impatient. Unfortunate experience and subsequent testing shows that no locks are placed on files while they are being restore...
