Metro DR configuration in Fusion SDS with internal container native storage (ODF/FDF)

Two of our largest banking customer in France are planning to deploy an OpenShift environment based on their common requirements in terms of storage resilience using several data centers. This means primarily the setup of a two site Metro DR configuration with synchronous replication. In the current version of Storage Fusion SDS (2.5), our understanding it that  Metro DR is available with ODF (Fusion Data Foundation) but only based on an external CEPH. Neither of those customers is willing to deploy an external CEPH, but rather use the internal ODF suite (or now Fusion Data Foundation) to host the storage layer for their OpenShift environment.

This request for enhancement is to get a roadmap for Metro DR using the internal CEPH (container native) or even, if possible, get an availability of this capability as soon as possible in 2023.
