Lab validation required for Firmware/BMC/BIOS security controls compatibility with Fusion HCI

Hello,

We are currently working on a security compliance audit for our IBM Fusion HCI environment hosting NVIDIA H200 GPU nodes. Following our support case TS022037768, IBM Development confirmed that the following firmware/BMC/BIOS security controls require additional lab testing to confirm compatibility with Fusion HCI before they can be enabled:

  • FW-01 – Secure Boot UEFI
  • FW-03 – TPM 2.0
  • FW-06 – Intel TXT / AMD SEV (SEV-SNP)
  • FW-09 – IPMI-over-LAN restriction
  • FW-11 – BMC TLS certificates (internal PKI)
  • FW-12 – Telnet / SNMPv1/v2 / FTP disabled on BMC
  • FW-16 – GPU VBIOS firmware updates

These controls are required for regulatory compliance and cannot be enabled without IBM's official validation. We kindly request that IBM Development prioritize the lab testing of these controls against the current Fusion HCI environment.
