This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The server certificate cert256.arm (public key), expires after 10 years without warning. After that, access to the ISP server is no longer possible from one second to the next. The server must be stopped hard. A warning in the Actlog, e.g. three months before the certificate expires, would be very desirable.
It would also be desirable if there were a way to renew the certificate and all client certificates on the fly and without server downtime.
Above all, it would be good if IBM prepared its clients for such a case at an early stage.

What ANR message should we look for, to detect early warning?
This request has now been delivered into a released version of the product (8.1.21)
As well as an early notification in the act log, which I understand was already suggested, it would be good if this was picked up by SPOC and change server status to orange with 3 months notice and red with a month notice.
This request is a candidate for a future generally available (GA) release. IBM's statements regarding its plans, directions, and intent are subject to change or withdrawal without notice at IBM's sole discretion. IBM will update this request to reflect any changes.
