ISPP needs a feature for backup/restore of files/filesystems for physical servers similar to the feature set of a IBM Spectrum Protect BA client

    My vote is more towards linux servers.

    Not necessarily *physical* linux servers, more so; linux servers that are impossible to backup using VMware (or other hypervisor) snapshot technology. That includes VMs with shared SCSI-bus for example.

    Support for backing up physical Windows file systems (ReFS and NTFS) was added in June 2020 in Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.6.
