IBM Storage plug-in for VMware needs the ability to assign cache io group

When using the IBM Storage plugin for VMware to create RDM or when using the IBM VASA to create vVols we need to ability to assign the cache io group. when we create a new vdisk on storage pool io group1 we want the cache io group1 assign and not cache io group0. as i've been told by support....vdisks created on a storage pool on io group 1 should be using cache io group1 and we should be crossing cache io groups to get to the vdisk. I know that you can modify this and change the cache io group to match the storage pool but I've already take down a couple production server trying to fix this problem in the past.
