This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hello, Evelyn passed that comment on to me, and we are investigating whether it is possible to back-port into 8.5.0. Thank you.
Hi,
I know that it has been introduced with 8.6.x release.
However this does not help for systems which are not capable of 8.6.x code - such as e.g. SVC SV1 or various Storwize models.
We have a couple of customers where we as businesspartner are in charge of operating the systems and hence need to set a contact email adress that belongs to us (and our domain).
But since this same adress is currently used as sender we are facing security violations in terms of SPF Test in the course of DMARC policies:
the callhome emails are sent via the cutomer's mailserver, but the sender's email address domain does not match the customer's domain and thus violating the DMARC policy which in worst case results in the fact that the mails get dropped due to security policy.
During User Group meeting I talked to Evelyn Perez, asking for backporting this feature also to older versions because of that
Upcoming 2Q release (8.6.0) adds SMTP authentication and ability to set different "from" email address.
Good idea
