Automatic pool size increment by simple resize of underlying mdisks (e.g. Storwize LUNs)

Increasing the size of a pool consisting of mdisks from Storewize needs the following steps according to an discussion with our external partner:
- create new LUNs on Storwize and map to SVC
- integrate into pool on SVC
- migrate data to bigger LUNs on SVC
- remove the mapping and small LUNs on Storwize afterwards.

These steps are very time consuming and I'm asking whether it might be possible to shorten this up by:
- extend the LUNs on underlying device
- either automatic extension on SVC or SVC asking whether to use the additional new space on those mdisks
