Customer has large databases 16TB and need Flashcopies (snaps with copyrate 0) for functional tests. For performance tests he will create a clone from one of this snaps. But with our FlashCopy architecture this is not possible because of the dependencies (see PMR 49404,112,848).

Other solution would be an intra-cluster Metro Mirror of the source LUN, but we have the limit of 25 MB/s. With the 16TB source this take over 40 hours (not acceptable by customer). Therefore we opened the RPQ 848-49319 to increase the intra-cluster copy rate from 25 MB/s to 250MB/s if possible.
There have been discussions with IBM Hursley development and initial analysis indicates an iFix may help the performance considerations.

We would like to fix the issue with a iFix asap and need to know if we could get this in the mainstream code
