This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Delivered by Policy-Based HA released in 8.6.1 (3Q23)
Now with SafeGuarded Copy on a Hyperswap architecture the "Master" and "Auxiliary" sites are important are some tasks are restricted to "Master" volumes only (auxiliary site removal to perform o restore on "Master" volumes after a cuber attack. It is also important with Hyperswap topology to be sure that all "Master" volumes fro a Volume Group" are located on the same site. So being able to configure in the GUI which site will be the "Master" and which site will be the "Auxiliary" sounds mandatory now .
Thank you for submitting this enhancement request.
8.3 GUI did not let you choose a preferred site. It let you specify which site is the "master," but master/aux is only a label and has no impact on the actual preferred direction.
The preferred direction changes automatically based on which site is receiving I/O.
(It is also confusing that the GUI translated Master site as “site préféré” in French)
We have reviewed this request for ability to select preferred site, to actually determine the direction of HA primary -> HA secondary, and we plan to include it in a future release.
We appreciate your input and hope that you will continue to submit enhancement requests, as this feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Spectrum Virtualize and FlashSystem family.
Thanks,
SpecV Team
