This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Policy-Based HA released in 8.6.1 (3Q23) now delivers high performance mirroring between completely independent systems. Each has independent management connection to IP quorum.
Thank you for voting or commenting on this Idea. We have reviewed this request and plan to include in a future release.
Note that you can identify "winner" site. In the event that quorum app is unavailable, the predefined winner site will win the tie-break. Loss of network access to quorum app will not affect availability of HyperSwap system.
We appreciate your input and hope that you will continue to submit enhancement requests, as this feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of the Virtualize and FlashSystem family.
Thanks,
FlashSystem Team

Hi,
I discovered that recently with a customer.
They were as suprised as me in fact... I really think that this should be taken in consideration because Hyperswap is supposed to be a complete "Availability" solution and our customers shouldn't have to worry if everything is working well "but 1 ethernet port.."
Thank you.
this RFE would also be applicable to protect IP network redundancy for SVC Stretched Clusters - It was requested by a very large client to harden the HA protection of their 20 ESC clusters / > 10 PB SVC infrastructure
Attachment (Description): see figure on powerpoint that shows how IP quorum disk is connected to V5030
