V7000 crontab entries

Associated RCMS 018T3Z4,866
We regularly experience V7000 cron job failures. As I understand it, the cronjob which is failing is the save of V7000 config which is scheduled for 01:00.

As described in detail (RCMS 018T3Z4,866), the V7000's on the customer site are particularly busy at this time carrying out SCDM contraolled flashcopy and replication activity associated with the customer backups.
These activities have to happen overnight as they form part of the client batch schedule.

If we manually run the 'svcconfig backup' at a less busy time, say early evening, then the job completes normally. We can set up a job to regularly submit this to run at 18:00, however this seems clumsy, as it duplicates the action of the internally scheduled job, and we also continue to have the alerts generated for the failed run at 01:00.

The RFE is to have some control of the scheduled run time of the 'internally' scheduled V7000 submission of this backup so that this can be run at a time we know that the customer environment is 'quiet'.

Please let me know if you need any further details.

Kind regards
Denis
