DNS names instead of IP addresses

The system currently limits our flexibility to change our environment. If a syslog server or a NTP server can only be specified by IP address and not by DNS name this limits my migration options. If the StorWize would accept DNS names instead of an IP address I could replace an NTP server or a syslog server by another system by changing the dns-record in DNS to the new syslog server with the new ip-address.

We currently have multiple ntp-server in our network. The DNS name resolves to two ip addresses. The IBM system currently does not support multiple ntp server IP addresses. If a ntp server DNS name would be supported by the StorWize it could use the time from two different time sources through round robin.

A correct time on systems is important for Active Directory authentication of a system administrator.

Domain controllers can also be added only on IP address and not by DNS name. The same limitations that I described about the migrations options apply.
