Cache limit

Hello developers,
we have bank customer with security requirements for DMZ servers. During test of DOS attack from DMZ on storage via lun assigned to DMZ servers we found that cache is overcommited during the attack. Problem is in cache partitioning. We have defined 2x storage pools and cache partitioning cause that 66% of cache can be used in DMZ storage pool. It is bad. Hacker can do DOS attack against cache via write attack. The best is possibility limit cache which can be used for specific storage pool. Rest of cache can be devided by cache partitioning algorithm.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Storage
    Product - IBM Storwize V7000, V5000 and V3000

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Tivoli
    Product family - Storage
    Product - IBM Storwize V7000, V5000 and V3000

    To resolve this today, we would recommend you add another I/O group to resolve the problem (another Storwize V7000 controller into the cluster).
