Replicated volume expansion without deleting relationship

We need the ability to expand volumes with a Metro Mirror remote copy without deleting the relationship between the volume and its copy. Deleting and re-creating this relationship every time there is the need to expand a volume poses a risk to the information inside that volume that will not have a consistent replica for several hours: the bigger the volume, the longer it takes to replicate and the higher the risk. It is also a waste of bandwidth and network resources to replicate again a potential huge volume of information that was totally synchronized before the expansion of the volume.

    We have been waiting for this almost 2 years now.. when will this be delivered? This was delivered on other vendors solutions 8+ years ago
