Enclosure-loss protection on Storwize V7000

Please implement contra-rotating SAS cabling for connections from Controller enclosure to drive enclosures. This gives additional failure protection and avoids enclosure interdependencies caused by "daisy-chain" connections. DS4000 / DS5000 customers have appreciated this for many years now.

    It is unfortunate that this enhancement is not under consideration. We experienced a 36 hour outage (all data on 2 Pools was unavailable) on one of our V7Ks due to this exact issue (manifested as a "SAS chain has become inconsistent" error.).

    I've changed the ownership from Quintus to myself as he is now the TPC product manager and I am the SVC product manager. After discussing this with the development team and determining priority for new functionality this will not be considered for inclusion any time in the next 24 months. At this time I am rejecting this request.

    No reaction from IBM after 32 days.... strange.
