SafeGuarded copy enforced retention

Currently SGC can be removed just from restricted security administrator, protected by 2-Person integrity (https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/flashsystem-9x00/9.1.0?topic=security-two-person-integrity). To further enhance SGC protection, the proposal is to add a new role "SGC retention policy", protected by TPI which should be presented the following options:

  • "enforce SGC retention" (Yes/No): Answering Yes, the SGC taken from that moment onward can't be removed from the restricted security administrator, until the retention period is over;

  • "SGC erase rollback time" (minutes): In case the "enforce SGC retention" is set to No, the SGC copy won't be removed immediately when the command is issued, but only after the rollback time is over (for instance if the filed is set to 15 minutes, the SGC copy is erased 15 minutes after the command has been issued)

  • "notify SGC erase command": This field should indicate one or more email address(es) to be notified when a restricted security administrator chooses to delete an SGC so that a rollback can be executed.
