Client would like to see value similar to what is posted on Storage Insights (SI) and Spectrum Control (SC) in the GUI

Client would like to see value similar to what is posted on Storage Insights (SI) and Spectrum Control (SC) in the GUI


- This is creating lots of confusion when they ask why values are not showing similarity and why there is big differences in values

example : used_capacity when using Pool1-DRP & we have to use "lsdrpinternals" to justify missing 5 TB which is not reclaimable.


lsmdiskgrp value is in TiB


- we spend considerable amount of time looking at snaps , SI , SC and they provide the justified answer


- hence best way is to make sure values displayed are similiar and easily comparable - even when using using GiB/TiB/GB/TB at different places in GUI & SI & SC.

    Thank you for your comment. FlashSystem/Virtualize sends capacity and performance telemetry to Storage Insights via call home, but it does not locally maintain a long history which is what you get on Storage Insights.

    With Storage Insights being monitor locally on storage in recent releases why not build it into GUI, but still give option to sell Premium license. Much like other features that generate revenue.

    The goal is to provide consistency across GUI, CLI, SI, SC.
