Monitoring FlashSystem / Spectrum Virtualize with Prometheus and Grafana

An increasing number of our clients is using Prometheus and Grafana to monitor their infrastructure. For Spectrum Virtualize-based storage only the following exporter is available on GitHub:

https://github.com/IBM/spectrum-virtualize-exporter

There is also a 3rd party exporter for Spectrum Control which is not supported by IBM and was last updated in July 2020 (https://github.com/topine/ibm-spectrum-exporter). Clients don't want to rely on this in production. Compared to competition (e.g. NetApp, DellEMC), the Prometheus exporter for SpecV is very limited and does not provide per-vDisk performance metrics, which is a key functionality the clients require. 

This kind of setup also shouldn't require purchasing additional software (such as Spectrum Control). Example: https://github.com/NetApp/harvest
