SVC/v7000 Global Mirror Change Volume replication Bandwith Regurements tool Merged

If the customer not using IBM SVC/v7000 allready the bandwidth needed for asynchronous replication with change volumes is not predictable. It is depending of the used snapshot interval and the workload. The transfer size is a 256 KB grain. If only a 17 KB of this grain is changed between two snapshots then this 17 KB will give a transfer of 256 KB. There is no tool at the moment to model or calculate the needed bandwidth when using synchronous replication with change volumes. Field resources need a practical tool to predict based on given workload profile and locality of reference information

Closed due to age. But request will be delivered by new async replication technology on roadmap.
