Per customer request:
Spectrum Virtualize Password Policies

Hello we would like to use the password policy in Spectrum Virtualize; however, we do not want the policy implemented for superuser, tpc user or storage insights (SIadmin) user. How can we implement password policies for all other users without impacting these three?

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. While we would like to implement all the RFEs / Ideas we receive, for maximum transparency we are closing enhancement requests that don’t currently appear on our two-year roadmap. We may revisit this request in the future.

    We do have the option to use SSH keys instead of a password for certain users like superuser, tpc user or SI admin.

    Another workaround is to use LDAP (remote authentication) for most users and only have local users for superuser, etc. The password rules and expiry for remotely authenticated users is controlled by the remote auth server. SpecV password rules only apply for local users.

    We appreciate your input and hope that you will continue to submit enhancement requests, as this feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Spectrum Virtualize and FlashSystem family.
