This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

It is important to highlight the difference between PBR Async and Remote Copy (GMCV). PBR automatically tries to achieve the lowest possible RPO and does not have a freeze time when it is in journaling mode. It will automatically switch to cycling mode if it can't keep up, with the objective of staying within the target RPO defined by the replication policy.

In the GUI screenshot, it shows you at a glance whether all volume groups are within policy and you can assign meaningful names to the policies if you choose. (Ex: 5minAsync, 10minAsync, 60minAsync)
If you want to generate reports, the best options are probably Storage Insights or you can use the CLI:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/flashsystem-7x00/8.6.x?topic=7300-getting-started-policy-based-replication
The Storage Insights screenshot is showing SI Pro which is available as a standalone subscription, but is also included with Expert Care Premium and any version of Spectrum Control license.
Thank you for your feedback and keep it coming.
Thanks,
FlashSystem Team

Storage Insights now supports monitoring RPO across all volume groups
New policy-based async replication introduced in 3Q22 (8.5.2.1) manages recovery points at a volume group level. See screenshot attached of volume group grid view showing RPO status of multiple volume groups.
Hi Terry
Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. This is really helpful feedback.
We are doing major work to revamp the whole remote copy management experience later this year and will make sure that the top-level overview has the desired information.
Thanks,

Attachment (Description): This change in GUI format is making things difficult for clients to monitor their global mirror freeze time and causing significant delays in their operations (administration).

Attachment (Description): V8.4.0.5 Remote Copy needs to show all consistency groups and their freeze times on first screen. V8.4.0.5 Remote Copy GUI now takes 16 keystrokes to view 7 consistency group freeze times. It takes 3 keystrokes to view one consistency group freeze time. V8.3.1.2 Remote Copy GUI took 1 keystroke to view 7 consistency groups and their freeze times. Instead of taking 4 seconds to copy 7 consistency group freeze times, it now takes 1 minute.
