MFA features require to add Google authentication

Currently, IBM Spectrum Protect has Google authentication enabled, but IBM Flash Storage and SVC do not support Google authentication or MFA features. Including this functionality in upcoming versions would be highly beneficial, as it would allow unified MFA management for different IBM products for each user.

For example, some users support both storage and Spectrum Protect (TSM), but face challenges connecting to the infrastructure due to the use of different MFA methods across these products. A consistent MFA solution would simplify access and improve security management.

    The system uses the OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocol to communicate with supported authentication providers.

    Supported SSO providers:

    • IBM Security Verify

    • Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS)

    • Microsoft Azure Entra ID

    • Okta

    • Duo Security

    • PingOne

    Any of these SSO providers support third-party apps for multifactor authentication (e.g., MS Authenticator or Google Authenticator)

    These options will provide the most secure, consistent integration with the customers' enterprise infrastructure access management system.

    However, it sounds like you may be looking for a time-based one-time password (TOTP) option to be built into the system natively, without requiring any external IAM software. Please confirm.
