Make snapshotting independent from the GUI

We had now several times that on some volumes the snapshotting stopped.
Without an alert.
Support mentioned us that this is due to gpfsgui failure, and indeed restarting gpfsgui resumes the snapshot shedules.

Honestly, I think that is bad software design: the snapshotting should continue even when the GUI fails , it should run on filesystemlevel.
It should be possible to manage this in a script or agent that runs independent from the GUI and is also configurable from CLI
And we should be able to get an alert, preferably in an SNMP trap or other method that can be intercepted by zabbix.
