Openshift ODF compatibility with Thin Provisioned disks

Thin Provisioned disks which are quick formatted using the dasdfmt utility with ODF / Ceph are currently not supported or recommended by IBM. TP disks have been supported since RHEL 8 on s390x / System z so why not with ODF / Ceph ?
