TDP for SQL 2012 in Windows 2016

We have 2 Windows Server 2016 with both SQL 2012 and SQL 2016 instances.We need a TDP client version compatible with these three components, so we can backup all Databases in both SQL versions.

File Type retention storage pool

Only Tape class is supported as Retention Pool however many customer that has NAS appliance as secondary backup storage instead of Tape like to use retention set with a copy to secondary storage.

Have the ability to choose the backup node in oracle

Spectrum protect plus does not currently have the ability to choose the preferred node for backups in the case of oracles like in the exchange for example, and we have this in question for some customers, who do not want to change in oracle

BackupSet tape Migration

We have backupsets created on 3592-JB tapes and we need to migrate these backupsets to 3592-JD tapes.We are in the process of discarding all JB tapes and TS1130 tape drive.We will have only TS1160 tape drives which can not read JB tapes.

TSM repository server is not supported as catalog backup target for SPP+ (enable catalog backup to repository server)

Using the SPP+ gui you can select a TSM repository server as a target for catalog backup for SPP+. I have opened a call with IBM support (TS013178083) because at 10.1.14-217 release at least of SPP+ no matter how you configure the TSM S3 repositor...
