Due to the fact that there are multiple issues with VMware CBT function I recommend giving the TSM admin the choice of selecting "use CBT yes/no" independent of the chosen backup method on a "per VM" level, e.g. as a "VMNOCBTUSAGE=VM1; VM2; VM3"

Allow selecting of vm to backup based on vmware tag

VMware supports "tagging" at the virtual machine, and / or the folder level. These tags could be exploited to determine which VM's to backup with TSM4Ve.

TSM for VE 6.4.1 support for vSphere 5.0

Customer updated its vCenter from version 5.0 to 5.5, but the vSphere environment remained on version 5.0. With this, they cannot use TSM for VE 6.4.1 (that does not support vCenter 5.5) or TSM for VE 7.1, that does not support vSphere 5.0.

tsm4ve "file restore" in tape mode is unusable in rel 7.1.3

The file restore webpage "https:\\vserver::9081\FileRestoreUI" is unuseable in tape mode. The documents claim that it will be slower, however it the data is not PRESTAGED to disk it interface is unusable.

Vmware : TSM for VE Oracle VSS Support

Oracle under Windows provides the possibility to run VSS Backup of Oracle. I have found several RFPs where Customes are requesting this feature. I think we should give support to this type of backup.
