There currently is no plan to introduce a recall/validate function at this time. The process can be carried out by leveraging a test LPAR, LI REQ and host mounts.

    1. At the DR location, put the TS7700T into a read-only state.
    2. Bring up a test LPAR.
    3. Set LI REQ SETTING, CACHE, RECLPG0, ENABLED
    4. Set MI Copy Override "Force Local" to TRUE.
    5. Run BVIR to input all LVOL_TO_PVOL records.
    6. Add all lvols to TMS as foreign tapes.
    7. For all those volumes not in disk cache, run vts tools PRESTAGE command in the order of which they are stacked on tape.
    8. Set LI REQ SETTING, CACHE, RECLPG0, DISABLED
    9. For those in disk cache and tape, issue LI REQ LVOL XXXXXX MIGRATE in groups of N in the order of which they are stacked on tape // wait 3 seconds between requests
    10. Run VTS tools PRESTAGE against those N volumes.
