While we understand the desire for DNS-based NTP configuration and customer-managed settings, we have chosen not to implement this due to the significant risk of time drift and system instability it can introduce. To maintain system integrity, changes will continue to be managed through support channels.
An evaluation will need to be done to see if feasible for a future release. Some of this work is part of the work being done with the REST API, but there is no planned timing to compete this at this time. We will evaluate.
