Provide GUI option to list TS7700 virtual tape components with serial numbers

Hello,

Recently we run into issue while tried MES upgrade an existing TS7700 virtual tape system. The IBM inventory services were not capable to list all components of the VTS, and for manually could add them to the configuration we would have to provide serial number all of the components (like s/n of each XSA cache modules).

We do not had these serial numbers in our inventory (only the F06 frame and VEC server ones), so we had to request onsite support to visit the device in the data centre and take note about each component's serial.

In my opinion this is not how an enterprise grade system should behave, the GUI should provide an option to list all installed machine type-model products, with their serial numbers of a VTS. Please consider to add this feature to new product releases.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Tamas Domjan

This is planned to be implemented for R6.0 for VED/TS7770 and VEF/TS7780.
