TS7700 Logical WORM KPMG certification

Allow to configure retention period in data class, so volumes mounted in this class inherit this retention period. During the retention period, volumes cannot be scratched, deleted, ejected or overwritten. In addition, do not allow to decrease the retention period for existing LWORM volumes and data class definitions and do not allow any user to disable the LWORM setting on the data class once set. The advantages of this solution are:
· The application or tape management system cannot set a LWORM volume to scratch as long as the retention period is not expired. So, hacking attempts become more challenging.
· LWORM VOLS are still seen by the application because they are in a private pool.
· Retention periods cannot be reduced for existing LWORM volumes or new LWORM volumes created with the same data class, which is state of the art.
· LWORM flags (on data class) cannot be disabled once created, preventing data class rules from changing for future volume creation, which is state of the art.
