change of MgmtClass in VTS 7760 should automatically activate CopyExport without z/OS mount required

We were implementing CopyExport with VTS7760 and deceided to take over all tape datasets in our VTS (~68000) to CopyExport Volumes (all Tape data ever produced).

For that the ManagementClass of each tape must be changed to a MC which is using CopyExport.

The onliest way to do that is handling each single Tape with the IBM Tape-Utilities, that means at least a mount in z/OS is required for each tape (logical volume).

This is very time and ressource consumptive, runs several days and is difficult to handle because the utility needs a VolSer list (68000 VolSer).

Requested solution:

IBM shall provide a procedure where the ManagamentClass in the VTS can be changed and the CopyExport is initiated without the need to mount the tape in z/OS

    There are no plans at this time to automate copy refresh. We have many customers who do not want to do this so the process will remain as is.
