This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM System Storage products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi Mildred, that's a good news ! just want to know if at the end of a export, the database and the config of the TS77 is copied at the end of the tape, like it is done under z/OS ?
Thanks
Alain
This appendix describes how to use the COPY_EXPORT support with the Removable Media Service (RMS) component of DFSMS/VM. APAR VM65789 provides support within the Removable Media Services (RMS) component of DFSMS/VM for the IBM Virtualization Engine TS7700 Copy Export functionality. COPY_EXPORT allows a copy of selected logical volumes written to the TS7700 to be removed and taken offsite for disaster recovery purposes. The benefits of volume stacking, which places many logical volumes on a physical volume, are retained with this function. In addition, since the data being exported is a copy of the logical volume, the logical volume data remains accessible by the production host systems.
