lin_tape driver for Ubuntu is outdated, any plans to update in the near future?

lin_tape driver is needed for all IBM LTO tape drives and libraries. We have applications running on Ubuntu and need a current version of the driver. With the current version we are stuck to Ubuntu 20.04 and can't move forward.

Thank you for your request regarding the plans for updating the tape driver for Ubuntu. Unfortunately this requires several resources and the market opportunity is not sufficient to maintain this operating system.

At this time customers can submit a SCORE RPQ for getting support on a production configuration that is not listed for standard support in the IBM System Storage Interoperation Center through the following link-> https://www-40.ibm.com/systems/support/storage/scorerpq/int/logon.do
