as advised by PFE Ref to case TS011516098 to open RPQ


Ref to old case TS006661327 Devlopment and PFE advised to upgrade from line tape 3.0.56-1.x86_64 to line tape version 3.0.60 in the coming PMN to overcome issue of CPU hang /TSM server crashes when multiple drive reset /reboot 

we have service window to upgrade a critical seismic environment for Saudi Aramco that contains two library Atl6 and Atl6 model TS 4500 while each library contains 18 frame ,50 Drive 359260F ,Dual Accessor ACC A, Acc B [100 drives 359260F and two Ts 4500 36 Frame] 
 

Below are the current version details:

 Kernel 3.10.0-1160.25.1.el7.x86_64 , 3.10.0-1160.el7.x86_64

OS RHEL 7.9

Lintape lin_tape-3.0.56-1.x86_64

IBM Spectrum Protect Server 8.1.16

IBM Spectrum Protect Client 8.1.15-1

ATL Library firware 1.8.0.3-B00.00

ATL Drive firmware 5811

SAN Switch Firmware v8.2.1c

Server Adapters Adapter HPE

 1 - HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331i Adapter - NIC Adapter 

2 - HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 562SFP+ Adapter

pls .take in the consideration we need to upgrade line tape to 3 .0.60 so pls advise on below customer query :-

 

Q1 : is line taper 3.0.60 compatible to work with Kernel 3.10.0-1160.25.1.el7.x86_64 , 3.10.0-1160.el7.x86_64  OS RHEL 7.9 , and above shared  environment codes ( SAN ,TSM) ?

 

Q2: which library code and drive code we should upgrade meanwhile it will  work without issues with line tape version 3.0.60 and above environment codes ( SAN ,TSM ,linux kernal )?

    This compatibility needs to be checked using SSIC website. If not supported it needs to be requested via the SCORE RPQ process (link available at bottom of SSIC website)
