ntegrated Cooling with improved filtration and airgap sealing to mitigate particulate intrusion generated by Wildfires on the westcoast.

We offer an integrated cooling option with an air filter for the TS4500. It should be a straightforward matter to replace the existing filter with a model that has a higher rating to mitigate particulates generated by wildfires on the west coast. This client currently has a TS4500 with the Top Rack mounted Air Conditioner that has a filter on the intake side. The client is forced to shut down the Tape Library during peak wildfire activity due to particulate generated contaminating the interior of the tape library. Taking an outage is not a good option and the customer is requesting improved filtration and a more frequent maintenance schedule to accommodate proactive replacement of filters.

    Fires are no longer just a West Coast issue, this is a broader issue. I would suggest that customers don't want a product if they don't know exists. How broadly has the existence of this product been shared?

    Unfortunately the market for the integrated cooling system was not sufficient to mantain this product and it's being withdrawn.
